Rafael Carvalho Turatti: A Career Driving E-commerce Innovation Recognized by IEEE

Rafael Carvalho Turatti, a Brazilian engineer and e-commerce expert, has carved a remarkable career that has earned him the prestigious title of IEEE Senior Member—a distinction awarded to just 10% of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ over half-million members. With a trajectory spanning technology, digital transformation, and strategic leadership, Turatti has become a pivotal figure in advancing e-commerce, blending technical expertise with business acumen to deliver transformative results in the industry.

Turatti’s professional journey began with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from FEI University Center in 2015, where he honed his analytical skills and developed proficiency in programming languages like Python and R. His early career took root at IBM in 2016, where, as a Trainee in Software Development, he contributed to the Kroton group’s enrollment system, crafting unit tests and mastering tools like C#, SQL, and JavaScript. This technical foundation set the stage for his leap into the digital commerce world.

In 2016, Turatti co-founded AIIR Studio, a digital marketing and advertising agency, where he served as Commercial Manager until 2018. Leading a team of eight, he built the company from the ground up, securing a portfolio of 30 clients and generating R$500,000 in revenue within the first year. His hands-on role in negotiating with clients and suppliers, coupled with crafting marketing strategies, showcased his entrepreneurial spirit and ability to bridge technology with business growth.

From 2018 to 2019, Turatti joined CM Plastic, a logistics packaging distributor, as Marketing and Sales Coordinator. Here, he spearheaded the creation of the company’s e-commerce platform, driving a 30% revenue increase by launching a retail division in a saturated market. His development of financial controls and ROI-focused marketing campaigns demonstrated his knack for aligning digital innovation with profitability, with e-commerce accounting for 50% of the division’s revenue.

Turatti’s expertise deepened at Maplink, a logistics technology firm, where he worked as a Senior Account Manager from 2019 to 2020. Managing a portfolio of 30 clients generating over R$1 million monthly, he acquired six new clients in under three months and slashed website load times by 80% through strategic upgrades. His ability to prospect leads, negotiate deals, and optimize digital performance underscored his growing influence in tech-driven commerce.

A defining chapter unfolded at Infracommerce, a leading e-commerce technology company, where Turatti served from 2020 to 2024. Starting as a Senior Client Success Coordinator, he supported the launch of Coty’s B2B e-commerce project before rising to Client Success Manager in 2022. In this role, he spearheaded the Reppos platform for Reckitt, overseeing its creation from brand conception to operational success. Managing B2B operations for Reckitt and Mondelez, he led a team that achieved over R$1 billion in GMV in 12 months and drove 100% customer growth in 2023. Recognized as the top manager for up-sell in 2022, Turatti also facilitated the platform’s expansion into Latin America, collaborating with global tech teams and refining CRM, data, and product strategies.

Since October 2024, Turatti has been E-commerce Manager at Reckitt, leading Reppos—a B2B online store generating over R$1 billion annually. Digitizing over 70,000 stores and 65 distributors, he continues to innovate, managing relationships with key stakeholders and driving strategies for CRM, data, and customer success. His leadership ensures operational efficiency and positions Reckitt as a digital commerce powerhouse.

Now pursuing a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at PUC-SP (expected 2025), Turatti blends his academic pursuits with a career that exemplifies digital transformation. His IEEE Senior Member status reflects his profound impact—over R$2 billion in managed revenue, thousands of digitized operations, and a legacy of turning tech into tangible business value. Turatti’s journey is a testament to how engineering precision and strategic vision can redefine e-commerce on a global scale.
